About Us

The Anglo Maltese League opened its doors in 1935 and has been part of Valletta’s story for nearly a century. In 1997, our family took on the responsibility of caring for this special place, preserving its heritage while welcoming both locals and visitors from around the world.
During World War II, the building played its part in Malta’s resilience, serving as a storage site and earning a commemorative plaque from Sir Francis Douglas in recognition of its support to the Royal Air Force.
Today, the snooker club upstairs continues its proud tradition, while our restaurant downstairs serves authentic Maltese favourites and comforting classics, all prepared with care, offered at fair prices, and enjoyed in a warm, friendly setting.
